September 10, 2015 Yuri Saveliev (Director of the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of Russian Academy of Sciences) took part in the meeting on the changes in the system of salary for heads of organizations, which are subject to Federal Agency of Scientific Organizations. The meeting was held at the St. Petersburg Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Questions about the approval of efficiency criteria of public institutions and the efficiency of their leaders were discussed at the meeting.

September 9, 2015 Yuri Savelyev (Director of the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of Russian Academy of Sciences) and Evgeny Zhirnel’ (Vice-Director for Science in the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of RAS) took part in the round table "Inter-municipal cooperation: support for the practice of tourism business and a tourist attraction for the development of territories", which was held with the participation of the Head of the Republic of Karelia Alexandr Khudilainen.

September 5, 2015, Evgeny Zhirnel’ (Vice-Director for Science in the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of RAS) moderated the round table "Entrepreneurship as a resource for the development of rural areas", which took place in the village Pryazha (national region of Karelia – Pryazhinsky). The round table was attended by Alexander Brechalov (Secretary of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation). The meeting was organized by the Commission for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship Support of the Civic Chamber of the Republic of Karelia.
