September 14, 2015 Yuri Saveliev (Director of the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of Russian Academy of Sciences) took part in the round table Problems of creation and development of water clusters in the framework of the Strategy of socio-economic development of Petrozavodsk city district for the period up to 2025, which was held in the Administration of Petrozavodsk.
Galina Shirshina (Head of Petrozavodsk Administration) was leading a round table. Representatives of the city administration, the heads of major marine and transport enterprises of Petrozavodsk, representatives of small and medium-sized businesses, government representatives of the Republic of Karelia participated in the round table. The purpose of the roundtable was to discuss the prospects and possibilities of formation of inter-sectoral water cluster in Petrozavodsk and consideration of the proposals of the working group for its development. Juri Saveliev presented the report Justification of implementation, the main objectives and expected results of the project Creation and development of cross-sectoral clusters of water in Petrozavodsk.
