April 16, 2015 The KarRS RAS Institute of Economics held the V Conference of Young Researchers "My economic discovery". The speakers at the conference were pupils from 6 schools in Petrozavodsk. School pupils presented their findings and got recommendations from jury, which consisted of Teacher from 37th Gymnasium E.N. Saveliev, Deputy Director for Science E.V. Zhirnel and a Senior research associate at the Institute A.A. Shishkin.

April 10, 2015 The conference "Local government and business: from dialogue to partnership" was held by the KarRC RAS Institute of Economics, the Public Chamber of the Republic of Karelia, Business Incubator of the Republic of Karelia, the Ombudsman for the Protection of the rights of entrepreneurs in the Republic of Karelia.

April 8, 2015 Scientific secretary of the KarRC RAS Institute of Economics L. Kulakova took part in the seminar "Development of youth business initiatives in rural areas" and spoke on "Youth Entrepreneurship in the Republic of Karelia."

April 3, 2015 Deputy Director for Science of the KarRC RAS Institute of Economics E.V. Zhirnel held a seminar "Business and sustainable development of rural areas", organized jointly with the Commission for Economic Development and Entrepreneurship Support of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Karelia.

30-31 March 2015 Research associate of the KarRC RAS Institute of Economics E.V. Molchanova and head of the department T.V. Morozova participated in the International Symposium "Formation of a new paradigm of social science: Russian scientific schools", which took place in Moscow.

25-26 March 2015 Research associates of the KarRC RAS Institute of Economics O. Tolstoguzov and I. Chubieva attended the Moscow Economic Forum 2015. The event has gathered on their sites more than 2,500 scientists, experts, managers, entrepreneurs from 20 countries and more than 40 regions of Russia.
O. Tolstoguzov took part in the round table "Economic science and social state" with the report "Allocation of economic rent as anti-social factor". The report revealed deficiencies in the current economic model and regional policy and presented a proposals to solve the problems in the context of social and spatial coupling economies.

March 26, 2015 the Institute of Economics Karelian Research Centre held a meeting with young entrepreneurs from Petrozavodsk in the framework of program "You are Entrepreneur"
There were some guest speakers: Liukkonen Toivo, Seliverstova Alexandera, Paraskiva Igor (representatives of production, leisure and retail).

March 23, 2015 The project of socio-economic development of Segezha municipal district for the period up to 2020 was presented at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia. The draft of the strategy was presented by the Director of the KarRC RAS Institute of Economics Yuri Saveliev. The presentation was attended by Deputy Head of the Republic of Karelia - Minister of Economic Development of the RK V. Chmil’, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of RK S. Manuilov, specialists of the ministries and departments.
