23 September 2005 meeting of the Project Office of the Republic of Karelia on the implementation of the best practices of national rankings investment climate in the Russian regions was held in the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia. Yuri Saveliev (Director of the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of Russian Academy of Sciences) and Evgeny Zhirnel’ (Vice-Director for Science in the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of RAS) attended the meeting. Participants of the meeting discussed the situation of the Republic of Karelia in the National rating of the state of the investment climate in the Russian regions.
Members of the Project Office presented the Roadmap of implementation of the best practices of national rating investment climate in the regions and the schedule of work of the project office. The letter of thanks from the ANO "Agency for Strategic Initiatives" was given to Yuri Savelyev as the head of the expert group on implementation of regional investment standard in the Republic of Karelia.
