August 26, 2015 researchers of the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of the RAS participated in a video conference, which was held at the International Forum ‘The new models of cross-border and inter-regional cooperation for the development of regions of Russia’, held on the basis of Institute of cross-border cooperation and integration (Belgorod).
Participants from Russia, Ukraine, Finland and Serbia discussed the possibilities of cross-border cooperation for regional development, particularly inter-regional cooperation of Russian regions and new models of cross-border cooperation and integration.
Nikolai Kolesnikov told about the lines of scientific research of the Institute related to border areas, and also introduced the future scientific events that are associated with the development of the border regions: the Youth Economic Forum and the international conference ‘Perspectives of social-economic development of the border regions’.
