Egor Michel (researcher, Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre) participated in the training ‘Migration processes and international relations: experience and potential of non-profit organizations’. The event was held under the program ‘Resource Center for socially-oriented non-profit organizations of the North-West of the Russian Federation, who are working with the problems of labor migration’ (funded by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation).Experience of non-profit organizations in St. Petersburg and the Republic of Karelia in the field of social adaptation of migrants was presented at the training. On the basis of presented empirical information were asked questions about the formation and development of the institutional innovations in the field of migration.
