December 10, 2015, Yuri Saveliev (Director of the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of Russian Academy of Sciences) and Evgeny Zhirnel’ (Vice-Director for Science in the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of RAS) took part in the meeting of the Project Office of the Republic of Karelia on the implementation of the best practices identified through the national rankings investment climate in the Russian regions.

December 10, 2015 Yuri Saveliev (Director of the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of Russian Academy of Sciences) took part in the public school, which is conducted on the basis of the Russian Presidential Academy and Public Administration.
The heads of cities and municipal districts of the Republic of Karelia, state and municipal officials take part in the public school.
Yuri Saveliev delivered a report "On implementation of best practices in the development and support of small and medium-sized enterprises in the municipalities."

December 9, 2015, Evgeny Zhirnel’ (Vice-Director for Science in the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of RAS) participated in the of a working group to assist in attracting investments into the economy of the Republic of Karelia, which was held at the Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Karelia. Participants of the meeting discussed the investment projects implemented and planned for implementation in the country, issues of resource base areas, availability of labor resources, the financing of projects.

December 8, 2015, Evgeny Zhirnel’ (Vice-Director for Science in the Institute of Economics of Karelian Research Centre of RAS) participated in the meeting of the working group for cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Karelia and "Russian Agricultural Bank" in preparation for the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Karelia in 2020. The event was held at the Ministry of Agriculture, Fish and Wildlife Service of the Republic of Karelia.
