April 17, 2015 The KarRS RAS Institute of Economics held a public lecture on "The development of alternative energy in the Republic of Karelia" in frame of the Days of Science in Derzhavin Lyceum. Senior students of information and mathematical profile attend the lecture.S.V. Tishkov told the students about the current state and prospects of development of renewable energy in the Republic of Karelia, as well as implement programs and projects submitted subjects. A.P. Scherbak presented the current and future uses of solar energy in the North of Russia. After the lecture students asked questions regarding the specific use of renewable energy, and discussed the possibilities and prospects of its development. The discussion was moderated by Deputy Director for Research and Methodology of Derzhavin Lyceum Vladimir S. Yagovzik.
